Both options are wonderful! It does make sense to have an outdoor reception if you are getting married in a beach resort, but you could also have a little piece of Los Cabos in every part of your wedding, like Viviana and Naveen did: ceremony at the Mission of San Jose del Cabo, cocktail overviewing the Sea of Cortez, and reception in a ballroom beautifully decorated. For their floral décor, we used a mix of white flowers (Phalenopsis orchids, Dendrobium orchids, Roses, and Lisianthus) over multi-sized and multi-shaped mercury containers… and lots of candles!
When you choose to have an indoor reception, it does not matter if you get married in a warm or chilli day in Los Cabos, and you don’t have to worry about the wind blowing out your candles either.
An indoors reception will allow you and your guests to see the reception area fully decorated until all of you walk into the ballroom; in the other hand, when the reception is taking place in a public area (right next to the pool, in the beach, etc.) a lot of people can sneak peek and the “surprise factor” disappears.
Viviana and Naveen enjoyed with their guests the colonial town of San Jose del Cabo.
QUESTION FOR OUR READERS: Would you have an outdoor reception in Los Cabos, no matter if your wedding is taking place in Spring, Summer, Fall or Winter?
